Heritage Academy
Heritage Academy is a private independent Jewish community day school. We belong to RAVSAK and are fully accredited by AISNE (Association of Independent Schools of New England). We are committed to providing the highest quality Judaic and general studies education. Our curriculum is aligned with the guidelines of the Massachusetts State Frameworks. Additionally, our students study the richness of Jewish texts, history, ritual, spirituality, music and culture in an open and respectful setting. The character, morality, and spirituality of our students are important to us.As a pluralistic school, we are not affiliated with any particular denomination of Judaism. Our families’ practices and observances of Judaism vary widely. Each of our families’ makes its own decisions regarding personal observance levels. Our families include Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and the unaffiliated. We have one- and two-parent families, inter-racial and inter-religious families, and families with adopted children.Our commitment to meeting each child's needs is achieved by maintaining small class size and providing experiential learning opportunities. At all grade levels we offer special programs in music, art, library, physical education, academic enrichment, computer technology, science, literature and writing. Speech and language services, special education, counseling, and enrichment for the gifted and talented are made available. This variety of resources enables us to challenge each student to strive towards his/her potential.Our commitment to excellence is balanced between high academic standards and the development of the whole student. Developing the emotional, spiritual and physical abilities of each student enhances scholarship.
