Jacobs Resting Place
Jacob's Resting Place 1790 Bed and Breakfast is located on the Letort trout-fishing stream on the edge of Carlisle, in South Central Pennsylvania. Built on land purchased in 1751 from the William Penn Land grant, this gracious brick Georgian is one of the earliest remaining tavern-inns in South Central Pennsylvania. The property is adjacent to Carlisle Barracks, home of the U.S. Army War College and the Military History Institute, and the Center for Strategic Leadership. The new Army Heritage Museum is only 1 mile away and the Gettysburg Battlefield is only a 45 minutes drive away.
