grond weten te bemachtiging tegenover het Academisch Centrum van Paramaribo. De kosten voor dit stuk land zijn echter nog niet volledig gedekt en Stichting Vrienden van Het Parelhuis heeft nog een bedrag van € 50.000 nodig om het
kavel te kunnen kopen. Waarna de door Billiton gedoneerde prefab huizen geplaatst kunnen worden en de kinderen kunnen verhuizen van de te kleine behuizing aan de Previenlaan 18 te Paramaribo Zuid.Om te proberen deze financiële
last te verlichten zal er daarom een benefiet veiling onder leiding van Sotheby’s georganiseerd worden op 1 december Wereld AIDS Dag.Entertainment blokjes waarin artiesten als Lex Empress, Bergit Lewis, Orfeo Bouman, Junior,
Christopher Max, Serry optredens zullen verzorgen. Dit zal afgewisseld worden met stand-up comedy acts van en andere cabaretiers. Het tweede onderdeel van dit benefiet bestaat uit de veiling die door Ronny Wooter en Milan Veld
van Sotheby’s verzorgd zal worden. Hierbij zullen er in totaal 75 lots geveild worden van verschillende kunstenaars. Om het feest af te maken zal het laatste deel van het benefiet bestaan uit het feest waarbij http://www.barkers.nl voor
