Camp Pioneer - Caddo Area Council B.S.A.
Camp Pioneer offers a traditional Boy Scout
camping program including resident and mini-camp programs for Cubs and Boy Scouts.
It is located in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains near Mena, Arkansas.
All troop sites have wall tents, cots and mattress set up and ready for the use
of Scouts and leaders. Each site is equipped with showers, restrooms, a storage
building for equipment and a large shelter for troop meetings. Several of the
troop sites are accessible to the physically handicapped. Swimming is in a
junior Olympic pool. Boating and canoeing are in Mountain Fork River.
In addition to the regular summer camp opportunities for scout program,
Camp Pioneer offers a seventeen-mile Rich Mountain Hike and Mountain Man
program that consists of a complete week's itinerary.
