Formerly known as the Third Order of St. Francis, the SFO is an official Order within the Catholic Church for lay men and women and was established by St. Francis of Assisi in 1221. Married or single women and men who are faithful, practicing Catholics are able to join the SFO, as are diocesan priests and deacons.

Franciscan Alumni Association Homepage
The Franciscan Alumni Association is made up of men who were involved in the priest/brother formation program of St. John the Baptist Province or Our Lady of Guadalupe Province in the Order of Friars Minor. Our members include those who went on to profession and ordination as well as those who did not. We seek to serve Jesus by building up the common bond that Franciscan students and friars found in our attraction to St. Francis of Assisi, a bond that resulted in our exploration of a Franciscan vocation.
