Ron has been an avid photographer for more than 40 years. Having served as the chief marketing officer and/or marketing strategist for some of the world's largest technology companies, he has been mesmerized by many advances that technology has brought ... especially in imaging. In the last few years he has moved from the chemical darkroom to the digital darkroom. Although he has hung onto some of his favorite film cameras, he now shoots mostly with Nikon digital equipment.
His move into professional photography as an ancillary business came as a result of his pro-bono marketing efforts for the 3800-seat Starlight Theatre in San Diego's Balboa Park. For three years he photographed all their shows and fund-raising events.
Ron has been honored by having his images hung in some of the most competitive international exhibitions. Of special note is the juried International Photography Exhibition at the San Diego County Fair. In the three years that he submitted images to those competitions, he has had half of his accepted for hanging at the shows. That ranks him among the top 8% of the photographers who have had their photos accepted. And he is one of the rare photographers who has received more than one of the top ribbons.
