Oneonta is located 35 miles NE of Birmingham and is nestled in the heart of beautiful Murphree’s Valley in the eastern part of Blount County. It was incorporated on February 18th, 1891 and became the county seat in 1897.

Founded in 1903 and nestled in the heart of Murphree's Valley, Union Hill has become one of North Alabama's most dynamic churches touching lives of both city and rural families with the life-changing message of God's love and forgiveness. Located just outside of Oneonta, Alabama, the church has a growing ministry to children, youth, young adults, seniors and families. A new worship center and fellowship hall have recently been completed.
