Mark Hockey Photography
Welcome to our Website that covers 25 years of Mountain, Landscape and Wildlife Photography. My specific Photography project is about the Town of Ilkley in Wharfedale.
Monitoring 'Ilkley In Bloom 2011' photographically will be one of my core projects. For more information go to my Ilkley in Bloom 2011 Gallery. Other projects for the remainder of the year include a Wildlife Blog containing regular updates about birds and Butterfly sightings in and around Ilkley. Rock Climbing on Ilkley Moor will continue to fascinate and scare my type of people. Ilkley Moor itself can be very photogenic if experienced in good light.
I also enjoy walks with my Wife, Anny and two young children Marianna and Robin aged 2 and a bit and 1 and a bit respectively. For more information that may help Parents to entertain two boisterous young Children in Ilkley, go to my 'Activities for the Children' Gallery.
Finally I must Thank Peter Riley at The Wharfedale Naturalists whose (signed) book 'A Guide to the birds of The Washburn Valley' 2002 inspired me to publish some of my own work in our local area. Enjoy, Mark Hockey 20/03/2011

Nicholas Anthony Martin: Gallery and portfolio.
Nicholas Anthony Martin, age 31, was born to a Norwegian mother and English father and spent his younger years growing up in a small commuting suburb just north of Oslo, Norway.
At the age of 10 Nicholas received his first camera from his father, who in turn had received his first camera at about the same age, so you can definitely say that photography is in the family genes. Nicholass grandfather took extensive B&W shots during the 2nd World War, which he developed himself in the field and colored by hand. From 10 years and onwards Nicholas and the camera were inseparable.
Nicholas has an educational background in media, drawing and fine art and tries to create modern artwork through his photography. His art is a fusion of his travels and experiences, especially that of the cold, bleak Norwegian winters and the vibrant colourful modern Britain, and tries to create a feeling through his images, with his passion for detail and the obscure.
In later years Nicholas has travelled extensively in Europe and also lived and worked in Ireland, Germany, Norway and the UK, and now considers himself to be a eurocrat, something which definitely introduces a mixed culture flair to his work. Nicholas has permanently left the peace and tranquillity of Norway for a more creative existence in London, and hasnt ever looked back!
